What we're actually like

We take God seriously. We don't take ourselves too seriously. That combination matters to us — we believe the gospel is the best news in the world, and we'd rather laugh with you over a meal than impress you with a program.

We support our college students and want to see you thrive, in faith and in life. That's part of why we're doing this: not to launch another club, but because we genuinely want to know you, root for you, and walk with you through what's probably a disorienting first year.

We're not a finished product. We're a group of ordinary people trying to follow Jesus honestly, and we'd love for you to come do that with us — not as a spectator, but as someone whose presence actually changes the room.

Sunday services

Redeemer Church holds three services every Sunday at 211 Northshore Dr, Bellingham: 8:30 | 10:00 | 11:30 am.

Services run about 75 minutes — worship, prayer, a message that points to Jesus, and communion every week.

What following Jesus actually looks like here

Most people at Redeemer find their people through a Gospel Community — a group of 15-30 people scattered around Whatcom County who share meals, pray for each other, and just do ordinary life together. Not a Bible study you attend, more like a family you belong to.

For students, we want to go a step further. We run something called Finkenwalde — a hands-on training ground in the basics of the faith, named after the underground seminary Dietrich Bonhoeffer ran in Nazi Germany, because the same conviction still holds: following Jesus well takes real formation, not just good intentions. Our goal is for a group of you to go through that training together and eventually start a Gospel Community of your own, right here on campus

That's a bigger ask than "come hang out on Wednesdays." It's also, we think, a lot more worth your time.
