Big Truth: Two bad kings cracked God’s kingdom.

Monthly and Story Bible Memory Verse:

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

Pre-school

The Kingdom Cracks was a little to abstract for our 3’s and 4’s, so instead the kids saw a flannel graph story that told the account of Solomon building the temple. This connected to last week’s lesson. Ask your child about Solomon’s temple. Then ask them where is God’s temple now? (We are his temple, for people who follow Jesus!)

4th and 5th Grade

We are on chapter 3 of the book Forensic Faith, by J. Warner Wallace. Ideas for interaction:

-Ask them what the book is about. Or read chapter 3 on your own and ask them questions from the book. Questions like:

-What’s going on in the story? What is the mystery about in this book? Do you think the kids have good questions that they are asking about the mystery? If you were a character in the book, which one would you want to be and why?

-Check out the on-line class that goes along with the book here.
