See below for last week’s Online Service (3.15.2020)
Welcome Redeemer to our Online Service— We’re glad you’re here!
Our online Sunday service is a way for us to gather together at the same time but in different locations throughout the county. We want to be wise and prudent to prevent the spread of illness while continuing to learn, grow, and worship together. Our hope in this time is that we us as a church would participate in and be shaped by prayer, Scripture, music, and the hearing of God’s Word.
Today as our church gathers across Whatcom County and beyond we are praying for healing and care for those affected, for peace and calm for our heads and hearts, for energy and strength for those most directly caring for those who are sick. For healing, and for God to be glorified as His church lives as salt and light in this world.
We invite you to share your experiences by using the hashtag: #RedeemerNWFamily on your social media platform of choice. This will help us interact with one another, as a family, on Facebook and Instagram.
Opening Prayer
(Pray out loud together)
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Call To Worship
(Read out loud together)
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
3 He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
Pray For Others
(Take a couple minutes to pray through these specifics)
Here are a few specific things to pray for:
Healthcare professionals and first responders who are in close contact with those who have the virus
The pregnant, elderly, and immunocompromised, who are more at risk of contracting the virus
Hospitality and travel workers, business owners, and others who may be impacted financially by this outbreak and social distancing
Educators who continue to teach and love our children
Government and School Board leaders who are making decisions for our community
Our church planting and missionary teams abroad who may be unable to leave the countries they are serving in.
The spiritually hungry. Times like these can make people spiritually hungry. May God use this global pandemic to bring people to Himself and help people experience His goodness.

Communion
(Those who trust in Jesus Christ, take communion)
Every week we remember and retell the Gospel through receiving communion. We encourage you to continue to receive communion this week as wherever you are. The bread represents Jesus’ body given for us. The juice represents the blood He shed for our redemption. As you receive the bread and the juice, let it remind you that He brings life from death, hope from despair. What looked like the end was really the beginning of the coming Kingdom. What looks bleak to us, by God’s grace, can give way to beauty. Above all, communion is a reminder that death won’t win and through faith in Jesus, resurrection and hope are always the final word.
Giving
In response to God giving Jesus, we give. This is a wonderful and important part of our worship and discipleship. Take this time as an opportunity to thank God for your daily bread. Take time to connect you're giving to what God is doing in and through the church community. May God use your giving to fuel your worship of King Jesus as your heart follows your treasure.
While we are not publicly gathering, this link will give you three other options to give.
Sing – Living Hope
(Push play and sing along with us)
Verse 1
How great the chasm that lay between us
How high the mountain I could not climb
In desperation I turned to heaven
And spoke Your name into the night
Then through the darkness Your loving-kindness
Tore through the shadows of my soul
The work is finished the end is written
Jesus Christ my living hope
Verse 2
Who could imagine so great a mercy
What heart could fathom such boundless grace
The God of ages stepped down from glory
To wear my sin and bear my shame
The cross has spoken I am forgiven
The King of kings calls me His own
Beautiful Savior I’m Yours forever
Jesus Christ my living hope
Chorus
Hallelujah praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in Your name
Jesus Christ my living hope
Verse 3
Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence the Roaring Lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me
(REPEAT)
Jesus Yours is the victory
Chorus
Hallelujah praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in your name
Jesus Christ my living hope (2x)
Ending
Jesus Christ my living hope
Oh God You are my living hope
Sing – In Christ Alone
(Push play and sing along with us)
Verse 1
In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my life, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love,
what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled
when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All,
Here in the love of Christ I stand
Verse 2
In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fulness of God in helpless Babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
’Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
Verse 3
There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day,
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory,
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine,
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
Verse 4
No guilt in life no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till he returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand
Reflection Questions
(Take a couple minutes to answer these questions together)
What opportunities does this provide?
What precautions can/should we take?
What hardships will this produce?
What does it look like for us to love God?
What does it look like for us to love our neighbor?
